Can you tell that these kids love books? I find them reading to each other, just before we head out to the library to grab some new ones.

Our travels to Ohio for Peter’s Med School graduation. The kids hardly slept the whole way there. It was pretty awful. But, once we were there and with cousins, we all had a GREAT time. Desi was enthralled with the frog, but she couldn’t decide whether to get closer, or keep her distance. She started crying once when it jumped off of Johanna’s hand. It was pretty fun to see the kids inspecting the little guy. Then after dinner, we went to the Children’s museum and it was a great time. Then, we were all exhausted and took all of the kiddos back to the hotel to put them to bed.
After we started out the day with Family Pictures and ice cream, we went to the park for a wonderful picnic and kite flying. The kids LOVED the kites! After we let the kiddos snooze for about 30 minutes in the car, we headed to the zoo. We walked across the entire zoo to get frozen lemonade and as soon as we got there, the frozen lemonade stand was closed. Haha! What the luck…well, luckily, we DID find a different frozen lemonade stand. We walked back over to the park for another BBQ at the park and it was a delightful time with so much family. Around 8 or so, we decided it best to head back to the hotel as we were leaving EARLY the next morning to drive home. The next blog post will explain the adventures of the coming day. It deserves a post of its own.
