FL Day #3: Magic Kingdom

Can I even express to you how excited we were to be at Disneyworld?  I dare say, I can not!  Bekkett rode in the big 15 passenger van with Gram and Gramp, Jessica’s family, and Shandi’s family and we were so excited to see how he was reacting to all of this… being with family and FINALLY being at Disney World!  The first thing he showed us when he got out of the van was THIS…

Image

Jessica had drawn mustaches on the kids fingers and he had never done it before, until now.  He ran up to us and said, “Mom, Dad, look.”  And put his finger up to his lip.  It was quite possibly the cutest thing he has ever done {maybe that is a little bit of an exaggeration}.

And the Tram Ride to the Magic Kingdom.  Image

And walking into Disney World and seeing the amazing castle was so magical!  There is so much for kiddos to look at, especially when it is their first time! 🙂

ImageImageImage

Our very first ride was Prince Charming’s Carousel.  {Get ready for the picture overload! That is what this trip is all about!}ImageImageImageImageImageImage

And then we got to meet Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, too.  Bekkett LOVED them!ImageImage

You know how there are hidden Mickie’s everywhere??  Well, Bekkett even ate a hidden Mickie into his apple.  Do you see it?Image

I am surprised that Bekkett is smiling in this photo, because he cried on every ride! 🙂  Image

Nikayla and Bekkett had been talking about going on Dumbo together for months and their dream finally got to come true.  ImageImage

Do you see Eric’s awesome get up?  Be sure to check out his outfit in the last photo on this post.  It is AWESOME!

And Bekkett was START STRUCK when he got to meet Buzz Lightyear!  Look at his cute face in this photo.  Image

We met up with Mom and Dad to save places for the light parade, the night show, etc.  It was awesome!  Greg and I went and got dinner for us all.  And of course the food there is AMAZING.  Greg got a smoked turkey leg {surprise} and I got BBQ pork sandwich with Bekkett and Des got boring food.  But we also got a delicious lemonade slush.  YUMMO! ImageImageImageImageImage

To wrap up our first day…one word… MAGICAL!  And all because we got to spend it in the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH with THIS bunch.

More to come soon!

Because of Him.

Standard

I know I have a lot to catch up on yet, but as I was working on my Norwex stuff, and all of the other things I do in a day, my eyes came across the video Because of Him on YouTube.  I took a break and watched it and throughout the entire video, I had chills and tears brimming.   I guess because Easter is this week, my mind and my heart has been turned to my Savior and all that He has done for me.

As I watched that video, it makes me so grateful for His atoning sacrifice made for me, and each one of us who are on the earth today.  Not only does it give me power to be better, it gives me the ability to overcome my weaknesses, which weaknesses seem to manifest themselves over and over in any given day.

And not only power to overcome weaknesses, but His atonement and resurrection gives EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US power over death.  When we die, it is not the end.  We are each promised that we will be resurrected, because He first was resurrected.  And to take it a step further, I know that we can be sealed to our families for time and ALL ETERNITY.  My marriage to Greg is not “til death do us part”…how sad would that be?  But, we are sealed together and Bekkett and Desi are ours forever.  Family units are in force after this life, Because of Him.

Because of Him, I can find joy.  I can choose joy.  Many times I don’t, but that is my choice.  He provides peace, and love, and joy.  do I accept that from His atoning sacrifice?

May PEACE and LOVE and JOY fill my heart during this Easter season, and EVERY DAY, BECAUSE OF HIM.

FL Day #2.

Standard

Our kiddos were up before everyone else, naturally, so we decided to meet Gram out by the pool to chat a bit before everyone else woke up.  It was so good to chat with Gram and have some one-on-one time with her.  ImageImage

Slowly, the cousins began joining us and it was indescribable to see all of the cousins reunite.Image

We went to church and then we came back and swam for a bit and had crepes.  Then we got ready for our family pictures.  We went to a darling shopping area and we took the time to get some darling photos together.  Image

Buddies.

You can see that getting pretty pictures is sometimes difficult when you have 27 people to work with…and when there are 15 grandkids.

 ImageImage

These two were the CUTEST together!  I just can’t handle the cuteness.

It was the perfect day!  Love my family.  And we were so excited and eager to get to DISNEY WORLD the next day! 🙂

FL Day #1.

Standard

ImageImage

We woke up early and got on the road to Florida.  When we got there, we got lunch at Subway and then went and checked into the condo.  We put the babies down for much needed naps.  Zach and Jaeleen got there and Zach and Greg let the kiddos play on the play ground while Jaeleen, Brianna and I went grocery shopping.  We made dinner and enjoyed our time together, and got kids to bed.  And then we WAITED.  We were so excited for everyone to get there, and they all finally got in about 11.  It was SO GOOD to see everyone again!

The last week before we left for DISNEY WORLD!ImageImageImage

These two have been enthused with Disney movies, and on this day, in particular, they were loving Toy Story.  Image

What is it with kids that they always need to sit less than 2 feet from the TV?Image

After a few days of snow, we were grateful for some weather to be able to play outside in.  Desi loves to eat the dirt and make a mess.  She is pretty cute.  Bekkett is LOVING exploring his toys all over again.  It has been pretty fun.  ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Day After.

Standard

When I got home from Norwex conference, we were busy, but it was so great to be back with my kiddos having fun.  Here are some highlights of the day.

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Bekkett got some stickers in the mail from Gram and Gramp…and this is what ensued.  ImageImage

Then a LARGE snow storm came in, which kept Greg working from home from 2.5 days.  We can’t complain much about snow when daddy gets to work from home.. here are some highlights from that.
