Where e’er thou art, act well thy part.

Do you ever just have a hard day, wondering if what you do on a day to day basis matters? I have had a couple of those days, in a row. And as I was up nursing Desi tonight, my answer was given.
“Where e’er thou art, act well thy part.”
I remember so many times hearing these words from my grandparents on my moms side. And these words were reiterated to me when Sister Dalton spoke in conference.
There was a paragraph that was my answer tonight.
“As daughters of God we are each unique and different in our circumstances and experiences. And yet our part matters—because we matter. Our daily contributions of nurturing, teaching, and caring for others may seem mundane, diminished, difficult, and demeaning at times, and yet as we remember that first line in the Young Women theme—“We are daughters of our Heavenly Father, who loves us”—it will make all the difference in our relationships and our responses. (2013 April General Conference, We Are Daughters of Our Heavenly Father, Sat. Morning Session – By Elaine S. Dalton)”
These words stuck out on my screen, because if I remember WHO I AM and my holy calling as a mother, I need not question if my contribution to this world matters, I will know it matters! And as the knowledge is instilled deeper within me, I will ACT WELL MY PART and do what I am called to do. And I will know that I matter! And I will be HAPPY!
May I do so.
