So I have LOTS to update on, but I thought that I would hurry and do a fun little blog about this past weekend. We randomly decided to go down to Salt Lake because Greg randomly had school and work off on Friday. We had seen discount tickets to the Dinosaur museum and so we decided to stop there on our way. Here are some of our photos.
Who would have known that we would have had so much fun! Bekkett LOVED looking at the dinosaurs and he surely is a boy.
This random game that we had played in NorthCarolina with our nieces and nephews on Greg’s side of the family. It was a BLAST to play on our way down! (To be honest, I usually would get frustrated because I couldn’t guess my card and I would ask for hints or quit. And this is a kids game?!? 😉
When we got down there, we surprised his mom at work and had Bekkett walk all alone into her office. She loved the surprise and was happy to keep Bekkett for the evening so that we could go on a date. Greg had already bought discount tickets to Simply Sushi and the dinner menu was DELISH! We only ate 7 rolls(I think) and you will never guess what our record is. Actually, go ahead, take a guess. Just know that after that visit to all you can eat sushi, we didn’t go for almost a year after that because the thought of it made me want to spew.
Afterwards, we made our way to City Creek Center to stroll around and did a little bit of shopping. Mostly strolled, and wished we could buy things from places like Anthropologie(we actually did buy a candle which we LOVE) and then we did some shopping for Bekkett at H&M. They have some VERY cute clothes for little tykes! I could have spent a LOT of money there! But we contained ourselves and only bought a few things…at great prices, might I add! 🙂
Until Greg realized that he had misplaced the parking pass. We went searching high and low, in the bathroom, other stores that were already closed, but to no avail. Then, they asked us at the Parking Garage how long we had been there(since 7:30 ish) and they said that we had to pay $20 (the max for a day) because we had misplaced the ticket. I wanted to say, “Excuse me sir, why did you ask me how long we had been here if you were just going to say that we had to pay $20 for a lost ticket.” $20 for an hour and a half. A bit steep, for my taste.
Anyways, the next day we went on a 20 mile bike ride, to the zoo, to lunch at Barbacoa, picked peaches from a big orchard down in Draper and then went to dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory. A day full of FUN and no photos.
I think this photo is pretty cute of G and B relaxing after the events of the temple dedication, birthday dinners at my parents house, and an afternoon nap! 🙂
Here is the recap of the weekend. I will do our SUMMER RECAP soon and hope to be better! Leave comments! I love them!
